August 13 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm PDT
Alternate Education Options for Gifted Children During a Pandemic & Beyond
With the pandemic still spiking in many states across the country, parents are stressed and confused as to how they should plan for their gifted children’s education in Fall 2020. In-person learning, hybrid, online schools and classes, pandemic pods, microschools, and homeschooling are among the various options bantered in the news and on social media. Which option is right for your family? How do you work with your district and/or school if you seek an alternative to rull-time in-person instruction this year?
This free NAGC webinar will help educate parents on the various education paths for gifted children during COVID-19 and beyond, along with valuable resources to help in the decision-making process. Panelists bring expertise from all education modalities–public, private, online, blended, homeschool, and rural. While each family must decide which educational program is best for them, this webinar will provide an overview of the various options, pros and cons for each, and issues parents need to consider in working with their district and/or state–all while ensuring their gifted children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical needs are met.
